Warm surfaces and high stability – wood combines seemingly contradictory properties like no other material. WOODis one of the oldest materials and is characterized by numerous unique material properties. As a naturally renewable raw material, wood has an excellent ecological balance. Wood does not pollute the environment during its production, but actually contributes to maintaining a healthy climate. The material properties of wood vary depending on the type of wood as well as the natural growing conditions and the processing of the material. This leads to a high degree of variability, which we can use to realize a wide variety of projects.
Whether plywood for load-bearing structures or fiberboard as an optimal support for high-quality surfaces – wood-based materials can be used in a variety of ways. In contrast to naturally grown solid wood elements, it is also possible to use “engineered wood” - i.e. wood materials that can be used like solid wood and, compared to this, have very variable dimensions, no deformation due to drying stress and, in some cases, higher strength. These include veneer materials, wood chip and fiber materials as well as wood-based composite materials.
